WHO and IMAI-IMCI Alliance have developed a training program on Ebola case management, to train clinicians (nurses and district clinicians : doctors, clinical officers, physician assistants) and hygienists who will work in an Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) .
Up to now, surge training has been implemented in Sierra Leone and Liberia. Trainers for this were trained in an initial TOT in Uganda. WHO wants to extend training to Guinea and other French speaking countries with high risk of Ebola epidemic such as Ivory Coast, Mali, and other neighbouring countries.
