Overview: Project HOPE is refining our Africa Regional Strategic Plan for Mozambique. In line with our global strategy, we are conducting a donor as well as partner mapping exercise to identify opportunities in line with our strategy. We will use this mapping to prioritize steps for the next 90 days, 180 days and three years.

Mozambique is on an ambitious path to scale up HIV Care and Treatment to reach Universal Access by 2015, with specific activities and strategies to achieve this outlined in the National HIV Acceleration Plan (2013-2015). Mozambique’s current M&E / patient monitoring system is comprised of a set of paper based tools maintained at the health facility to record patient initiation, counseling, patient follow-up, laboratory, prescription, and drug dispensing information, as well as use of electronic patient monitoring systems.
The OpenMRS Project Manager will be responsible of 2 distinct projects: 1) Project Nº1 – Electronic Patient Tracking System (EPTS) migration for ICAP Mozambique; 2) Project Nº2: design and coordinate the new PMTCT module for the OpenMRS system for the OpenMRS Mozambique working group. The Project Manager will be under the supervision of ICAP’s Strategic Information Unit Manager and will receive direct technical assistance from the ICAP M&A Sub-Unit Manager and will supervise and mentor the work of both the Health Officer and the Database Developer.
ICAP at Columbia University seeks a Nurse Coordinator to lead the implementation of the Global Nursing Capacity Building Program (GNCBP)/General Nursing Project (GN) in Mozambique. The Nursing Coordinator is expected to provide vision, direction, leadership, and management to ensure the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity of the program. She is also responsible for achieving the established and planned results for the program, will be the primary point of contact with funders, local government counterparts and partners.
The Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health (VIGH) is engaged in supporting implementation of HIV/AIDS care and treatment activities, and other clinical/training/research programs in Mozambique.
These programs are funded by various donors, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief), USAID, and private foundations.

The Foundation’s Mozambique office works closely with the USG team, and the Ministry of Health in Mozambique, including the provincial and district health teams, to support integrated HIV Clinical programs in four provinces. The Foundation’s approach is to support the Ministry of Health in increasing access to family-focused PMTCT and Care and Treatment programs. In line with the Foundation’s mission, the program wants to ensure inclusion of children and ensure their access to quality prevention, care and treatment services.
Provide M&E technical assistance to the MoH/National Directorate of Public Health (NDPH) with the goal of strengthening the monitoring and evaluation of the Tuberculosis program. This position is based at the Mozambican Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Technical Advisor will work in close collaboration with the PNCT team and HIV program team under the supervision of the Head of the PNCT program.
